Step 1 of The Ten Step Values Based Process is to write down the exact date and time when you want to be a millionaire.

Why is it important that you write down the exact date and time?

You make your it personal by writing it down. You make it yours by writing down the exact date and time when you plan to be a millionaire. If your like most people, the act of writing it down is a real emotional experience. You feel it.

As we discussed in a previous post, this is “Your End”.  Remember Habit 2 of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is to “Begin with the end in mind”.

Once you’re clear about your end, you can start working on Habit 3, “First things first”.

Go ahead.  Write down the date and time when you want to be a millionaire.

I know what’s going through your mind right now.  You’re saying something like “I want to be a millionaire right now” or, perhaps, “I want to be a millionaire a year from now.   But, get real, I can’t do that.”

Perhaps that is unrealistic, but there is a date that is realistic for you.  How about writing down your birthday in the year you’ll turn 65?

For many people, that’s 10 or 20 years in the future.  Doesn’t that give you some time to do the things you need to do to become a millionaire?
